Context
IRIS National Science Fair provided a platform to present research-based projects grounded in observation and experimentation.
Project Focus
My project explored the use of biochar in agriculture by observing how natural materials interact with soil and how these interactions can support sustainability.
My Work
- Observed differences in soil behavior with natural material integration
- Identified measurable factors such as soil texture and water retention
- Connected biological understanding with basic data interpretation
- Presented findings clearly without overstating conclusions
Skills Developed
- Research documentation and structured presentation
- Translating observations into measurable variables
- Data-supported reasoning
- Communicating scientific ideas clearly to an audience
Key Learning
This experience reinforced the importance of evidence-based thinking. Observations become meaningful only when they are measured, analyzed, and communicated responsibly.
